Journey to Joy- Feeling anxious

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

I praise God for this promise. I could easily be consumed today–but He is merciful to hold me up when I feel I cannot stand.

I woke several times last night knowing that my Lord wanted me to share His promise with a particular loved one. And she knows about the Gospel but doesn’t think that it can apply to her. At least not now because of her mistakes.

I reminded her that God accepts her as she is by grace. She can’t earn His love by “fixing” everything first. I had to do it through a txt message because she doesn’t want to see me or talk to me.  Anyway, now I will pray that the Holy Spirit will hover over her and draw her to Himself. What more can I do?

Joy is still eluding me. But God is not. He’s speaking to me. Hallelujah.

Blogging has helped relieved the anxiety I felt all morning. Thanks for allowing me to share.
