So, just to let y’all know, I have finally come up with a working title for the book I am currently writing. Sometimes I think I’m crazy to be writing a third when the first two aren’t even in print yet (06/12 publish date). But I’m writing the second in the series of Red Rover books. I can’t get into a new storyline until I finish this one. And knowing the title now motivates me to write till its finished. The title is U-TURN.
A lot of people need to do a U-turn at this point in their lives and I hope this book will get to those readers. As I had said in a previous post, my secondary audience is my real target audience. I hope that all my readers will buy a copy for themselves and also one for donation (or donate yours after reading it) to a homeless shelter, crisis shelter or any charity organization that serves people that are not as priviledged as we are.
AND WE ARE! So priviledged- that is- to be children of the King and blessed with enough money to buy a book to read. There are people I could name here and now that, I know, don’t have the money for soap or toothpaste, much less a book to read. But my books offer a venue of HOPE to the hurting. If they have an opportunity to read them- they might want to do a U-turn and get on the right path to peace that surpasses understanding.
Philippians 4:6-8 says
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV)
We all know that everyone is not blessed monetarily and that God rarely, if ever, answers our prayers to win the lottery. Sometimes it is a long wait for Him to answer prayer for a job. But we who know Him also know that there can be joy and peace even in adversity. My writing is fiction, not advice. But if the characters in my books find hope, and they do, then why can’t everyone have it? They can.
Everyone can! Jesus died on the cross for each and every one that would accept Him as their Savior. And knowing Him brings peace.
